Dickey, 18, said she was overcome with disbelief.
“I just couldn’t wrap my head around what it would be like to have a baby at 16,” she said.
Dickey, who will graduate from Central High this year, is working toward certified nursing assistant and certified medical assistant degrees from Salina Area Technical College through a partnership with the Salina School District.
