Salina Area Technical College has been selected as one of five schools to receive a classroom grant of $5,000 from the Ryder Charitable Foundation to train commercial vehicle technicians, the school announced Thursday.

According to a news release announcing the grant, the grants are being given to diesel technology classrooms nationwide, including a diesel lab at Salina Tech, to “educate the next generation of commercial vehicle technicians.”
