The Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene degree prepares students for a career in dental hygiene.  Salina Area Technical College Dental Hygiene Program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Dental hygienists are licensed professionals who provide oral health services such as completing a full assessment of the health of the teeth and supporting structures, therapeutic and preventative procedures, radiographic evaluation and patient education. Dental hygienists must be licensed by the state in which they practice.  A candidate must graduate from an accredited dental hygiene school and pass national and local examinations to obtain licensure.

Students at SATC will receive their education working with skilled professionals in a newly remodeled dental clinic located on campus. Our dental clinic will provide the opportunity for hands-on training where you will provide comprehensive therapeutic and preventative services.
