Learning Resources

Salina Tech provides a variety of learning resources to help students be successful in the newly renovated computer lab and testing center located in Building A. The lab is open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F while school is in session. Summer Hours are 7:30 am – 6:00 pm M-TH. Library Services: Each program at SATC has a library or shared library with print materials for student use. Students also have the option of using the electronic library in the Learning Resources Lab or using K-State Salina’s library. Please visit the library page for more information. Library Services
Assessment Testing: All applicants for admissions are required to take the college assessment test. SATC uses the ACT COMPASS test for assessment testing. The test is free and takes about one hour to complete. Students may submit a COMPASS assessment from another institution if not more than one year old. Applicants for some programs must also take the DAT (Differential Aptitude Test). Please visit the testing services page for more information. Assessment and Testing
Learning Resources Lab: If students need some help with homework, or just need a quiet place to study, they can come to the lab. It is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., M-F school is in session. Summer Hours are 7:30 am – 6:00 pm M-TH. Students may request time outside this timeframe if needed. Learning Resources Lab
Tutoring Services: Tutoring assistance is provided by our Learning Resources Specialist. Tutoring can consist of one-on-one sessions, group discussions, or a peer mentor. ESL tutoring is also offered in a one-on-one or group setting. Tutoring is free.
