The Program

This new program is still pending approval from the Kansas State Board of Nursing and the Higher Learning Commission. We anticipate approval from both organizations in December, and encourage interested students to apply as soon as possible.

Our practical nurse program is designed to help you learn the knowledge and hands-on skills you need to enter the medical field. Through a combination of classroom learning, high-tech simulators and clinical experiences, you’ll have the opportunity to develop the nursing skills that will make you stand out in the job market.

The program is designed to prepare you to care for patients under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse. This includes not only clinical patient-care skills, but also soft skills such as professionalism and effective communication.

Program Outcomes

At the completion of this program, students will be able to:

1.) Demonstrate the ability to think critically.
2.) Demonstrate proficiency in technical program learning outcomes.
