Assessment Committee

The Assessment Committee is responsible for managing the annual assessment process. They make certain plans are collected according to established timelines. They evaluate plans and provide feedback to faculty. They ensure learning outcomes are appropriate to the mission, programs and degrees of the college. They provide training to faculty as needed on measuring student learning. Finally, they educate students on the importance of developing technical, communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal/work skills.

The Assessment Committee usually meets once a month or more often as needed.  

The chair is responsible for the committee meeting agenda, meeting minutes, and setting dates and times of meetings. The chair is also responsible for tracking plan submission and approval.   All plans should be submitted by September 15 and approved by the end of September and sent to the website for posting. The chair meets w/ faculty as needed to provide them with guidance and assistance on the assessment process.  The chair also recommends assessment training for faculty and the committee as needed.
